Hi, I’m Lindsey!
I started Lindsey Takes A Trip to mix my love of writing and adventuring with kids!
I’m a former newspaper reporter turned stay-at-home-mom turned content creator.
After college, I took a job as a newspaper reporter in New Mexico. There, I met my husband — my best road trip and adventure buddy.
Four months after we got married, we moved to the Kansas City area for my husband’s job and learned I was pregnant with our first child! I stepped away from journalism and fell in love with being a mom. But we never stopped traveling.
Two more kids (and several more moves) later, I started to ease back into writing again, sharing about our local and National Parks adventures on Instagram.
We visited the Black Hills and Moab, explored New Mexico and Appalachia.
Friends kept asking for trip tips and itineraries. Thus, Lindsey Takes A Trip was born!
